HYDROGEN GENERATORS

Water for gas ? Fuel cell technology? Alternative Fuel?

Sure gas prices have finally gone down, and significantly, but will they stay down? Analysts are predicting that this is only a temporary break we're getting. So why not spend some of those short-term bucks and do something that will benefit you long-term.
If you're looking for an alternative to gas, try some of our do-it-yourself products for converting your vehicle into one that uses water instead of gas for fuel.
Hydrogen fuel cell technology is here to give you a choice and hydrogen generators are the answer.

How does a hydrogen fuel vehicle work ?

A hydrogen generator works with fuel cells. These fuel cells generate electrical power by converting the chemicals oxygen and hydrogen into water. This process produces electricity. A battery does something similar, except the chemicals are stored inside of it and eventually the battery needs recharging or it just goes dead. We've all experienced that. Not so with a fuel cell, instead these chemicals constantly flow in and out of the cell. No recharging is ever needed.

Is the race still on for producing hydrogen fuel cell cars ?

The U.S along with other countries including Canada, France and Germany are exploring hydrogen fuel, but Iceland, believe it or not is leading the way. They have hydrogen filling stations! What is the United States waiting for ?

Well, in 2007, Chrysler produced a fuel cell car that burned hydrogen instead of gas for fuel as did Honda in 2008 with the FCX Clarity.

Honda is currently working on a "Home Energy Station" so that you can do your refueling at home. Technology at it's best.

Driving

So you like to drive. Getting into the driver’s seat of your open-top sedan...you start the ignition and feel the cylinders start their rhythmic pulse as you back out of the driveway. Nothing to stop you as you aim for the open (that is if you live in rural America) highway to make that Sunday visit to the city to see friends and plan for the backyard BBQ...Nothing that is but the needle on your gas gauge starting to peg out on the big “E”. Ok, no problem. Go down to Big Al’s gas stop to fill it with premium grade petroleum. You make the turn into the gas pump and what waits to send your eyes into deep shock and your mouth doing an imitation of an open pit...the sign registering the gas price. 3.50 a gallon it says up from 2.75 last week.

This is a scenario playing out all over this country. Even though the beginning of this summer saw a nice drop in price, the crude oil inflation has began to affect us once again.
With the price constantly on the rise and the threat of fossil fuel having its day come of running out...what are the alternatives?
One source that is seeing daylight is water. Experts in this field have been experimenting how to use the vast resources of our ocean as an example. However, salt water is by no means the only h2o for consideration. There are ways of harnessing tap water as well to get the job done. When one considers that the make-up of the earth’s surface is over 70% water, it does not seem too incredible an idea to put this resource to work.

So what aspect of water has the operating potential for fueling a car and perhaps other uses of fuel? The hydrogen molecule of water has a proven ability to be turned into useful energy. It is this part of water that makes the idea of using water as a fuel source not only believable, but also extremely viable. The water fuel cell is a way of obtaining hydrogen from its water containment to put into a working energy form. In fact, plans do exist to allow a car owner to make their water (hydrogen) fuel cell for their personal vehicle. These plans can be obtained to show you systematically how to create this alternative source of fuel cell into a practical working model. The cost for these making these fuel cells is not as high as one might imagine...they can be just a couple hundred dollars. This prices inconsequential when compared to the eventual savings.

It is not to be said that these fuel cells make a car operate without petroleum involved, but it does work to lower the amount of gas that is be used. Water as a fuel source is also cheaper then current fossil fuel cars and is cleaner in terms of the exhaust emissions coming from our vehicles. This form of alternative fuel is not to be dismissed or taken lightly.
